Escalade nameplate will soon belong not only to the flagship luxury SUV of Cadillac (on the photo) but will also be used as the name of the entire subbrand. The company is now considering a possibility to exploit this name for other models as well. This information was published by Auto Guide with the reference to Bob Ferguson, Vice President of Cadillac.
“I just think the Escalade is a strong brand within Cadillac and I think we should exploit that,” Ferguson said. “And crossovers like the SRX are our biggest seller.”
The new version of Cadillac Escalade was unveiled in autumn 2013. Moreover, Cadillac plans to extend the model range of SUVs. Another three-row crossover might join Escalade and SRX.
