Performance tests: Bentley Continental Flying Spur vs. Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG L 4matic

German AutoBild car magazine conducted tests of two world flagship models in the executive segment — the all-new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG (W222) versus the British Continental Flying Spur. Though both of these cars belong to comfort class, the journalists could not refrain from conducting performance tests. The cars are fitted with powerful twin-turbocharged engines transmitting power to all four wheels via all-new automatic gearboxes. Though Bentley is stated to produce 625 hp versus 585 hp produced by S63 AMG, the German supercar showed better straight line acceleration results. But one should give credit to both cars, as 10–15 years ago only Italian supercars could display such performance. Mercedes turned out to be a bit worse in braking, though both cars demonstrated excellent results.
